Sally Sowell is a West Virginia based, self-taught artisan who uses precious metals, dichroic glass, gems, and beads to make jewelry. 

Sally began making jewelry as a hobby in 1986, founding Notorious Notions in 1988 as an official way to share her jewelry work. Since retiring from her “day job” in 2015, she has been able to focus more on her craft.  She is a Tamarack , The Best of West Virginia, artisan  She is also a member of Allied Artists of West Virginia and the Tamarack Foundation. 

Sally uses a variety of bench jewelry techniques including soldering, sawing, stone setting, and glass fusing to make one of a kind wearable art. Sally's work has been showcased at Oglebay Arts Festival, WVU Mountaineer Week, the Rhododendron Festival, and the West Virginia Store (formerly in the Charleston Town Center). Her work can currently be found at Tamarack , The Best of West Virginia in Beckley, WV.
